OUR FOUNDER
Having spent more than four decades representing clients in commercial, business and real estate transactions as well as civil litigation, Mr. Herman has earned a reputation for his resolute determination, his single-minded commitment and his unique approach to achieving cost-effective results for each client. Because of his vast experience and legal and technical knowledge, his counsel is sought by a wide variety of clients.
Mr. Herman's first ten years of practice was devoted primarily to civil litigation—trials and appellate work—for a broad range of clients including those in real estate development, shopping center ownership and management, construction, engineering, retail, and computer hardware/software development. Thereafter he shifted his focus to solving problems outside the court room, assisting clients with challenges in commercial real estate sales and leasing, landlord/tenant disputes, creating LLCs, partnerships, limited partnerships and corporations. Mr. Herman's extensive experience also includes advising individuals and businesses on contract drafting and interpretation, employment matters, financing, government compliance and domestic real property issues like rights-of-way and easements. Additionally, he has a substantial background in alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration, having served as a mediator for the San Francisco Superior Court. |
